Thurs 10/31: 11am-3pm

Mon 11/4: 9am-3pm
Tues 11/5: 9am-8:30pm
The election season can bring a variety of emotions — anxiety, excitement, or maybe an exhausted weariness. We’ve been hearing in The Current about how the Golden Rule to “Do Unto Others” can help us cultivate kindness, compassion, humility, respect, and love for one another and for the good of all the world—no matter what—and that caring for one another—as persons, not positions—is at the core of our faith.
Wherever you are and however you are feeling for the election, the St. Mark’s chapel is open for you to center yourself in prayer. We will have prayer stations with a scripture to read, prompts to reflect upon, and words of prayer to begin your own conversation with God—as well as additional prayer, creativity, and reflection resources to help us through this season of divisiveness and anxiety.

It’s time to start thinking about holiday shopping! Plan to shop at our annual Arts and Crafts Marketplace! All crafts and art work will be home-made either by area artisans or by members of St. Marks United Women in Faith. Refreshments will be available at the Candy Cane Café as well as the bake sale table.
St. Mark’s Crafters may also donate handcrafted items to the United Women in Faith craft table. Popular items in the past have included matching knit scarves and hats, aprons, ornaments, American Girl doll clothes and jewelry. ALL proceeds go to support missions.
Vendors who wish to rent a table for the Arts and Crafts Marketplace may contact Steff Mabe at 317-374-2529 or steffmabe@yahoo.com to receive a registration form. Vendors may rent either one or two tables. Each table is $35.00.

You might know a loved one, neighbor, classmate, or friend who has been affected by the nation’s opioid epidemic. Narcan training is like CPR training–a way for you to be better informed and prepared in the event of an opioid drug emergency.
St. Mark’s will be hosting Narcan training provided by the Hamilton County Dept. of Health. This training teaches about recognizing the effects of a life-threatening opioid emergency, and how and when to administer NARCAN Nasal Spray. Narcan (naloxone) is a treatment designed to rapidly reverse the effects of opioid overdose.
