East 10th United Methodist Children & Youth Center
East Tenth United Methodist Children & Youth Center is an accredited early learning center in east Indianapolis. The Center is an outreach initiative of East Tenth United Methodist Church, in response to a need for a safe place where the children and youth could go to learn and grow. They offer an income-based sliding scale for tuition costs and are proud to serve a diverse population.
The mission at the East 10th center is to provide a safe place where the spiritual, emotional, educational, and physical needs of children, youth, and their families are responded to in a holistic approach. They offer a variety of programs:
Early Learning Childcare Center provides childcare for infants and children ages 6 weeks to five years old. The center provides quality childcare, educational activities, nutritious meals, inter-generational activities, and a chance to learn and grow in a safe environment to all children.
Summer Days for Youth provides an all-day camp, which focuses on academic enrichment, computer classes, art programs, recreational activities, and field trips. The #1 goal for summer is personal development.
A before and after school program provides care for school-age children from neighboring schools. They provide transportation to & from school and all-day care during breaks and holidays. Their focus is on tutoring, homework, recreational & service opportunities, and drug prevention to help their youth become successful, well-rounded students.
Thank you for helping us continue to support East 10th!
During May we are also collecting supplies: Washable Markers, Pipe Cleaners, Construction Paper, Copy Paper, Puzzles, Board Games and Arts & Craft Supplies
Angel Tree
This holiday season please help us provide Christmas gifts for the children at E. 10th United Methodist Children & Youth Center. Look for the Christmas tree in our narthex, late November, which will be decorated with Angels. Each Angel hung on the tree will be labeled with names of the children at the E. 10th UMC. St. Mark’s provides gifts for each specific child, to open at their center’s Christmas Party. You will select an angel and purchase a toy in the $25-$30 range, suitable for that designated child. Wrapped gifts can then be placed underneath the Angel Tree no later than Sunday, December 10.
