Night Without a Bed | Saturday, May 6

Have you ever had to spend a night without a bed?

If you’re lucky, the answer is no. But Family Promise of Greater Indianapolis has sheltered families that previously slept in cars, park pavilions, even abandoned houses. There are far too many children and parents who sleep without a bed. You can help Family Promise expand its homeless shelter to help those families.

#NightWithoutABed is the primary fundraising campaign to support Family Promise’s Apartment Shelter Program–a model birthed in Indianapolis in the pandemic that now has spread to at least twenty other cities. The shelter programs have a housing rate of more than 73%, and a housing retention rate of 87% (two years).

How Can I Help? Join the cause!

  1. Donate online (stmarkscarmel.org/give) or by sending a check to the church office with “Night Without a Bed” in the memo line.
  2. Spend a night without a bed on May 6—in your car, on your sofa, on your floor, in a treehouse, in your tent in your yard–to remember those who can’t choose to. Have fun and be creative while helping those in need. Share your night with #NightWithoutABed on Facebook, Instagram, or other social media.
