Adopt-A-Grad
One of our first programs is what we will call “Adopt-A-Grad.” Notice that it is NOT “Adopt-A-College Student,” so you do not need to be a college student to participate. Here is how it works:
1. Graduates (you) who are interested, sign up to be “adopted” by a member or family of St. Mark’s.
2. Church members or families sign up to “adopt” Graduates.
3. Graduates are paired with the member or family that “adopts” them.
4. Over the course of the year between August 2022 and May 2023, the member or family prays for their adopted graduate, sends notes and emails of encouragement to their adopted graduate, and two to four times throughout the ten months sends Care Packages to their adopted graduate.
The intent in this adoption process is much more focused on you being prayer support and encouragement to the adopted graduate. We leave the option for the graduate to return the conversation back to the member or family, however, return communication is not required.
