Jackie Rowell
Children's Ministry Assistant Director
I am originally from upstate New York but moved to central Florida in the 6th grade. I attended college at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama and stayed there until 2000 when I moved to Indiana. I am married to my soul-mate, Ed Rowell, and we have two amazing children, Sofia and Jacob. Before working at St. Mark’s I was in advertising as a graphic designer, and then a stay-at-home mom. I have felt the nudge to enter some form of ministry for many years, but only God knew I would end up here! I am so thankful for His wisdom in guiding me to Children’s Ministries.

Why work for St. Mark’s UMC?
The staff is a loving and accepting. This environment drew me to St. Mark’s as a volunteer years before I became a staff member.
What is your most memorable moment to-date at St. Mark’s UMC?
My daughter’s baptism.
What most excites you about the future of St. Mark’s UMC?
All the unknown paths God will direct us to take together. I am especially excited about the future spiritual direction of our children and youth. Watching them mature in their faith and getting to be a small part of that is thrilling.
