Endowment Fund

Rooted in Faith
Growing Our Future

What is the Endowment Fund?
The St. Mark’s Endowment Fund is a permanent fund created to strengthen the long-term mission and ministry of our church. Gifts are invested, and the Endowment Committee follows an adopted spending policy to determine what may be used while preserving the fund for the future.
Why was it established?
The fund gives members and friends of St. Mark’s a way to express their faith and values through lasting generosity. It helps the church prepare for opportunities that may be beyond the reach of the annual operating budget.
How is it managed?
The Endowment Committee, guided by formal policies and working with the Heartland Methodist Foundation, carefully stewards the Fund. Investment earnings may be used for ministry support, with all decisions made prayerfully and prudently.
How will the fund make a difference?
As the Endowment Fund grows, it can provide long-term strength and flexibility for St. Mark’s. Available funds may support ministry opportunities that further the church’s mission and reflect the purpose of each gift.

Future Possibilities may include:

New ministry ideas and outreach | Education and leadership development |  Mission partnerships and community needs  |  Worship, music and the arts  |  Strategic facility or capital needs

A Gift That Keeps Serving

Your Legacy - God's Mission

An endowment gift is invested for the long term. A carefully determined portion may become available for ministry while the fund continues to grow and serve the church in the years ahead.
Ways to begin
  • Make a gift today by cash, check or appreciated securities.
  • Name St. Mark's in your will or trust.
  • Include the Endowment Fund as a beneficiary of a retirement account or life insurance policy.
  • Talk confidentially with the Endowment Committee or a pastor about other giving possibilities.

Whether you give now or include the church in your estate plans, your generosity can continue supporting Christ’s work through St. Mark’s for generations to come.
