Traditional Worship Schedule
Our Traditional worship services at 8:15 & 11:00 provide energetic worship through singing, Scripture reading and sharing God's word. Worship is often strengthened by our chancel choir, hand bell choir, and the St. Mark's Orchestra.
8:15 am & 11:00 am
Scriptures: Psalm 23, John 10:1-10
Psalm 23 describes God as our shepherd & Jesus takes that image upon himself. What does it mean to be shepherded by God?
SEEING WHAT HAS ALWAYS BEEN THERE
Scriptures: Acts 7:55-60, John 14:1-14
THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH
Scriptures: Acts 17:22-31, John 14:15-21
There are many conversations today about truth. What does it mean to understand the spiritual truth that God’s spirit brings?
Scriptures: Acts 1:6-14, John 17:1-11
We often think of prayer to Jesus but we don’t often think of Jesus praying. In this prayer, we get a sense of the heart of Jesus & his concern for those around him.
Scriptures: Acts 2:1-21, John 20:19-23
On the day of Pentecost the church was set on fire with God’s spirit. How well do we represent this fiery spirit in our Christian walk?
SENT….WITH A PURPOSE
Scriptures: 2 Corinthians 13:11-13, Matthew 28:16-20
Jesus didn’t just scatter the disciples to the 4 winds. He sent them in to the world to make disciples. It is still our purpose today.
Scriptures: Romans 5:1-8, Matthew 9:35-108
Paul describes a progression in the shaping of Christian hope. When we suffer, we endure which produces character that leads to hope.
ALIVE TO BE GOD
Scriptures: Romans 6:1b-11, Matthew 10:24-39
Both our readings today outline a confusing teaching where things are turned around.
