Operation Classroom

HELP SUPPORT THE LIBERIAN MISSION TRIP

A mission team, including St. Mark’s member, Don M., will be working at the Brumskine United Methodist School this September. They will be installing a ceiling in the library, building shelves and sorting books. If you would like to help support this project, please make your check payable to St. Mark’s; indicate “Buchanan Team” on the memo line or you may make your donation online. Thanks for your support Operation Classroom and St. Mark’s mission work around the world!
 

Operation Classroom is a not-for-profit organization that was founded in Indiana and partners with selected schools and health care facilties in Liberia and Sierra Leone to:

This month St. Mark’s is also collecting school supplies for the teachers and students at Operation Classroom schools. Y.E.S. kits contain:

pens pencils crayons erasers blunt scissors
solar calculators manual pencil sharpeners rulers protractors religious coloring books
notebooks Bibles construction paper    

Your donation of school supplies may be left in a bin at St. Mark’s main entrance. Financial contributions to support Operation Classroom may be given using the white mission envelope in the Sunday bulletin. If you would like to provide a scholarship for a West African youth, you may make your donation through St. Mark’s. For just $75 you can send an elementary student to school for one year. For $125 you can sponsor a high school student for a year. Thank you for your continued support of Operation Classroom!

Operation Classroom Packing Parties 

Please join other local United Methodist Churches for the next Operation Classroom Packing Party. Operation Classroom is a hands-on mission partnership with the United Methodist Church in Liberia and Sierra Leone, whose mission is to help upgrade the lives of the people in these countries by providing school supplies health kits, and teacher training, upgrading school and hospital facilities, and providing Bibles and other supplies for churches and pastors. Please join us as we assemble health kits & Y.E.S. (youth educational supply) kits at the packing party.
