Since 1994, Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN), a faith-based community-focused program, has provided emergency shelter, case management, and supportive services to single mothers, fathers and married couples with children. IHN helps break the cycle of recurrent homelessness by assisting families to find affordable housing and stability.

IHN partners with congregations in the Indianapolis area including St. Mark’s. Congregations represent many different faiths and take turns hosting IHN guests for one week at a time, several times a year. The role of volunteers is fundamental to the IHN program and many are needed each time we host. As volunteers we strive to make a difference by offering dignified and compassionate assistance to families who have suffered the ordeal of losing their homes.

Thank you to all who helped when we hosted guests in August. You may contribute financially to IHN using the mission envelope found in your Sunday bulletin. As we share our time and our gifts with others, we are also sharing our faith!
